"In 2005 Kwantlen University College set out to develop a service excellence program to create a culture of care underlying the service provided to our students. Service excellence is viewed as our competitive advantage, resulting in a high level of support for students wishing to attend Kwantlen and the continual attraction of quality employees wanting to work at Kwantlen. Dynamic Achievement Group was selected to deliver this program because of its focus on shifting the perceptions of individuals resulting in a powerful catalyst for quantum leap results.
Over 140 employees at Kwantlen have participated in phase I of the program (“Kwantlen Service Excellence”), with many others already starting phase II (“Coaching and Mentoring”). The majority of the participants rated the program as “Excellent.” Many have stated that it was the best program that they have ever participated in during their lengthy careers.
We have seen an increase in the number of student expressing their appreciation for the quality of service they have received. There has also been an increase interest on behalf of service providers to connect more often with students. In past years, students applying received on average 4 formal contacts with Kwantlen. Now students receive close to 20 contacts with us. Many parents of our students expressed a level of comfort in sending their son/daughter to Kwantlen because of the personal attention and care they have received. Other measurable results have shown an increased interest on behalf of staff to volunteer for events hosted by Kwantlen, and an increase in overall institutional enrolment. And this year Kwantlen was selected by Maclean’s magazine as a Top 100 Employer.
